WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU RECOGNISED SOMEONE FOR THEIR EFFORT?
And not just saying ‘thank you’, although that’s important too. Recognition should go beyond the people we serve and who serve us; it should also extend to those we work with and beyond. From colleagues to bosses, suppliers to neighbours, they all deserve a moment of appreciation.
Think about it: How often do you focus solely on first level customer service, forgetting the individuals behind the scenes who make everything work?
Your co-worker who stays late, your manager who clears roadblocks, or the supplier who delivers on time, they’re all part of the brilliance in your life. Recognition isn’t just for customers; it’s for everyone.
Here’s your challenge: Recognise someone today. Not just with a passing comment but with a genuine big up! Send them a message, make it public if you can, mention them in the comments below. Let someone know they’re appreciated.
Remember, great service isn’t just what your customers see, it’s what the whole team lives and breathes.
So, are you getting too much recognition? I doubt it. But I bet you could be giving more.
Be Brilliant!
