Has the world gone to…?
This week, it’s Trump’s tariffs.
Last week, it was AI taking all the jobs.
Next week, it’ll be another curveball from the global nonsense machine.
Some days it feels like the world has gone to s**t.
But what if the problem isn’t the chaos around you, but the way you react to it?
In How to Be Brilliant, I write about building a Brilliant Belief System. A way of thinking that helps you stay centred, even when everything else is spinning.
Because you can’t control the news, the economy, or whether a president decides to start a global trade war.
But you can control how you react to it.
I don’t think petulant presidents should be allowed to live in your head rent-free.
No one should. You’re the landlord of your thoughts.
Is this worth my peace?
I’ve been coaching this week and in two separate conversations, I gave the same advice.
When something rattles you, be it politics, panic, or petrol prices - please pause and ask: 'Is this worth my peace?’
Instead of spiralling into ‘Why is the world like this?’ Flip It and ask ‘What’s one brilliant thing I can do right now?’
Choose to react differently.
Respond with curiosity instead of fear.
Yes, give a damn, but give equal attention to the things that matter most, to you, in your life, now.
The world might wobble, but you can make your response rock solid.
Let me know what you think?
Be Brilliant!
Michael
